Even though I did manage to lose a bit over the holidays, I definitely realized that I need the accountability of going to WW meetings. So, I dragged myself back yesterday. Hopefully we'll both be a lot lighter when we see each other in September. :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004603944568074097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3782849159077833507.post-83569528938074885502010-01-16T23:52:41.944+11:002010-01-16T23:52:41.944+11:00It doesn't matter how many times you start aga...It doesn't matter how many times you start again as long as you DO! 1.5kgs a month is VERY achievable, look forward to seeing those numbers drop between now and your overseas trip.Taniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11314146110990484008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3782849159077833507.post-40250786736449599732010-01-14T10:07:04.066+11:002010-01-14T10:07:04.066+11:00Yep, it does sound like we are in the same boat wi...Yep, it does sound like we are in the same boat with this weight loss thing! However, I do think we need to recognise how NOT GAINING is an achievement in itself. As I said in my rambling blog entry,I find is scary how LITTLE I have to eat just to maintain my current weight. But, like you, I really want to lose more weight and it sounds like your USA trip could be a great incentive. If I was going to the US I would want to buy lots of clothes as I have found it easier/cheaper to get nice clothes there, particularly jeans . . . maybe that will spur you on! Of course there's all those fabulous needle work and craft shops too! Wish I was going to the US in September, actually . . . I'm going to Bali on March 24 to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday and I would like to be at least 75kg then so hopefully will be able to get some clothes made for me. I need to lose about 2kg a month, I think. So you and I both have set ACHIEVABLE goals.

Tracking EVERYTHING is a great start to getting back on the wagon--even those pesky little chocolate royals and nougat bars (left over from Christmas!). Even if you go WAY over your points, tracking really does help as it makes you aware of what you ARE eating.

Thanks for the stuffed capsicum recipe. My teenage son has gone all vegetarian on me, so I will definitely give it a go.

Tell us more about your trip . . . Are you actually from the US (the cowboy hat and the Dr Pepper??? Great photo, btw). But you write like an Australian. Maybe it's those great needlework stores that are luring you to the US???LellyJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04455074391047093937noreply@blogger.com
